Flash is much more compatible than Java & ChatBlazer does not require a Flash Media Server!

Client:

Windows, Linux/Unix, or Mac Systems require *Flash Player 8* or above installed into any modern Javascript-enabled browser to run the ChatBlazer client.

If you prefer to buy our server license and run the chat server software on your own machine, you should examine the requirements below. If your server does not meet these minimum requirements, you should consider our dedicated server offering.

 

Server:

Java must be installed on your machine hosting the chat server*

 

512 MB RAM Recommended; 256 MB RAM Minimum

 

Windows 95/98/NT, Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server, Windows 2003 Server, Solaris, AIX, Mac OS, Mac OS X, HP Unix, MIPS, Linux, Free BSD, BSDI, Digital Unix, SUN Microsystems machine

 

Telnet/SSH/Terminal Client and FTP access (if the server is remotely hosted and not located at your location)

 

For ChatBlazer Video:

Recommended:

Macromedia Flash Communication Server

Flash Media Server 2

Adobe Flash Media Server 3, Wowza Media Server

 

Red5: Tested but not recommended for production or high end websites, ChatBlazer does not support Red5's video recording feature.

 

* If you do not have java installed on your server, you may go to Sun MicroSystems and download the free Java software. Get your Java now! Alternatively you can request that we install Java on your machine for your ChatBlazer server license purchase.
