Pendulab Introduces Powerful New Flash Chat Solution
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – March 6, 2006 – Pendulab, a leading provider of collaborative solutions to small and large enterprises worldwide, today unveiled its new ChatBlazer 7.0 solution, offering businesses the most versatile, high-powered Flash chat tool on the market.
ChatBlazer 7.0 provides a framework to allow businesses to run Enterprise Instant Messaging in a controlled, auditable and managed level. Leveraging the strength of a solution already deployed at more than 1,000 businesses worldwide, Pendulab has extended ChatBlazer's reliability, functionality and connectivity, giving corporations the tool that can drive new levels of productivity in their organizations.
“Instant Messaging has become an indispensable communication tool, not only in social circles but in the workplace as well,” said Chris Low, SVP, Chat and Instant Messaging Solutions. “ChatBlazer 7.0 Instant Messaging provides workers with a new means of sharing information, collaborating on projects and delivering results – all without compromising the company's need to control, audit and manage its communication flows.”
ChatBlazer 7.0 offers new levels of connectivity through its support of other popular IM sources such as AOL, MSN, Yahoo!, ICQ and Google Talk. Through the creation of a “converged client,” ChatBlazer enables workers to engage in real-time communication with a wider audience of users who add value to a project or discussion. ChatBlazer 7.0 supports convergence through it TruClient architecture, allowing a user to converse with another regardless of the devices, machines, operating systems or web browser applications used.
Other key features of ChatBlazer 7.0 include the following:
- The ability to record all chat messages sent to and from public Instant Messaging platforms to the ChatBlazer converged client.
- Advanced load balancing and clustering technology, allowing administrators to manage a mission-critical network easily and inexpensively.
- Flash-based platform for even greater compatibility across Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.
- Open, XML-based protocol specifications that allow third-party developers to build their own chat clients.
- The ability to integrate seamlessly with major database software and the LDAP information-search web protocol.
- The ability for users to have room-based discussions and create their own public or private discussion rooms.
In addition, Pendulab announced plans to introduce new voice communication capabilities to ChatBlazer 7.0's feature set in the near future. The solution will integrate VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) into the ChatBlazer 7.0 platform, giving users the ability to make and accept voice calls anywhere in the world from their own computers.
